Fair junior tennis rosters, without the spreadsheet
Every junior team has six players for six matches: two doubles and four singles. Keeping playing time even, and fixing the roster each time someone is away, takes a manager hours. Fair Play builds the roster for you and keeps it fair.
How it works
- Step 1
Set up the team
The admin adds teams, players, parents, opposition, venues, dates and times, and writes the team rules so everyone knows how playing time works.
- Step 2
Everyone signs in
Parents and players each have their own email and password and see only their own team and linked players.
- Step 3
Mark who is away
Pick the dates a player cannot play on the calendar. The roster is adjusted so an available player steps in, favouring whoever has played least.
- Step 4
Admin has the final say
Switch rotation style at any time, cancel a fixture, or change any slot by hand, for example in finals. Manual changes are kept.
Three ways to share playing time
Parents have different views on how a roster should work. Pick the style for each competition and change it whenever you need to; the roster is rebuilt from the current fixture onward.
Everyone plays each week
All six players turn up. Two of them play only a singles or only a doubles match, and the pairing changes from week to week.
Strict calendar
Four rostered players on each date. If a match is cancelled for weather, the two players who were due to sit out get to play the next week.
Two on standby
Two players stand by while the other four play both a singles and a doubles match. The standby pair rotates.
